CLMS Teams with CMT to Win First Task Order Award Under New Government Contract Vehicle

ARLINGTON, VA, May 3, 2007 — A two-company small business team are the first to win a support services task order award under a new General Services Administration (GSA) contract. The Veterans Technology Services (VETS) Government wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) is a small business set-aside contract vehicle for service-disabled veteran-owned (SDVO) small technology firms.

Under this task order award (worth $495,523), the two technology firms will provide database systems support services to GSA for the financial management infrastructure (Information Technology (IT) Solutions, Network Services and Professional Services business lines) that involves all federal agencies through GSA services. The prime contractor, Carolina Management & Technology(CMT) doing business as CMT Solutions of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Calibrated Lifecycle Management Services, LLC (CLMS) of Arlington, Virginia, won the award on March 27, 2007.

The CMT Solutions VETS team is actually a consortium of 14 small businesses plus one large company partner (Unisys). CMT Solutions, reviews task order requirements and then evaluates, with the team members, which members are best qualified for fulfilling the work. In the case of this award, only CMT and CLMS, were bid on the project that will provide IT technical support to GSA's Ft. Worth, Texas operations.
