Data Technology Services

CLMS has extensive skill and experience with database architecture, design, and builds, which also extends to data migration and clean-up. Our people have worked with all major databases, including Oracle, and are experienced with all principle languages and development tools, including Oracle Designer7, Oracle Developer, Oracle PL/SQL, and SQL Plus.

In addition, we can modernize existing applications using J2EE/Java or .NET. These applications may have worked well for your organization in the past, but might require additional capabilities or to be web-enabled.

Success Stories

CLMS provides software development and systems engineering support ) to FEDSIM in Alexandria, VA. We developed and integrated multiple ITI automation initiatives, including CODB, Buyers.gov, CPTS, System Engineering, GSA Finance and OMIS. CLMS also provides technical support in the areas of business analysis, requirements management and development, business and applications planning, software lifecycle documentation, software engineering, and system engineering. In addition, CLMS provides Database Administrator (DBA) support as required.

CLMS also provides technical support through the full system life cycle, including definition, design, development, testing, operations, security, e-commerce, operating systems, telecommunications and maintenance. We developed data conversion routines, application and system interfaces, migration routines from Microsoft Access and Lotus to Oracle RDBMS, and application/system redesign.

CLMS created an extensive data checking process to ensure a successful migration, including:

  • A repeatable modular process that can be adapted and customized quickly and easily to capture new requirements,
  • Lookup conversions to populate referential integrity data not provided by legacy systems,
  • Flexibility with in-line error identification and correction, allowing more data to migrate in a specific data run,
  • A network definition process to create logical groupings for orders and funding,
  • Two sets of delete processes (to delete data not selected for migration, as well as deleting data with errors),
  • In-depth reporting and error analysis, with suggested corrections, and
  • Statistical reports to measure progress in data cleaning and migration completion.
